One way to keep the costs of Christmas down is to decorate with things you already have. For example, I bought this hurricane vase at Deseret Industries in Calimesa for $1.50. To make it festive for the Christmas season I added split peas to the base (I had a bag or two on hand), then I put a candle on top and added a sprig of faux berries.
